International Women's Day Lecture 2018: Press for Progress by Being an Active Bystander

We are delighted that this year's lecture will be presented by Dr Rachel Fenton, Senior Lecturer in Law at the University of Exeter. Dr Fenton will speak about her involvement in The Intervention Initiative, an evidence-based bystander intervention programme and toolkit for the prevention of sexual and domestic violence in UK university settings.
Rachel has a long-standing research interest in violence against women, with many publications about sexual offences and issues relating to gender and the law and has spoken widely on the topic. She has recently been appointed as the Speak Out Guardian for the University of Exeter academic staff.

- Lola Olufemi, student union's women's officer and the person behind the Decolonise Cambridge campaign

National Sexual Violence Awareness Week: 5-11 Feb '18
Cambridge continues its #breakingthesilence campaign to promote zero tolerance of sexual harassment during the UK's National National Sexual Abuse and Sexual Violence Awareness Week (5-11 February 2018). Focusing on what we can all do to prevent harassment, it will launch with a film on our bystander training and continue with views and stories shared by our staff and students.
